THE TITLE

I don't remember when I first read this poem by e.e. cummings, but every time I do, I fall in love with it all over again. The entire poem is filled with insightful reminders, but the line that I have chosen to be the title of this blog is my favorite because it is so simple and true: the goal of living is to grow. All of our experiences, both the wonderful and the terrible, give us the opportunity to grow, to better ourselves in some way. So this is how I am trying to live my life: my goals are to learn, to love and ultimately, to grow.

Read and hopefully be inspired.

in time of daffodils(who know
the goal of living is to grow)
forgetting why,remember how

in time of lilacs who proclaim
the aim of waking is to dream,
remember so(forgetting seem)

in time of roses(who amaze
our now and here with paradise)
forgetting if,remember yes

in time of all sweet things beyond
whatever mind may comprehend,
remember seek(forgetting find)

and in a mystery to be
(when time from time shall set us free)
forgetting me,remember me
